Introducing "Conversations and Connections: Navigating Self-Distribution," a gathering designed to bring together like-minded filmmakers who are eager to share their experiences and insights on the complexities of self-distribution. Our aim is to create an empowering space where knowledge is exchanged, connections are made, and inspiration thrives. We invite you to join us as a distinguished panel of filmmakers experienced in self-distribution share their stories, insights, and practical advice. From leveraging digital platforms to building grassroots marketing campaigns, we will explore the innovative approaches that have helped filmmakers reach wider audiences and achieve their creative goals.

WHO WE ARE

Women In Film San Francisco Bay Area (WIFSFBA - Pronounced 'wif-sfbay') is a volunteer-run non-profit organization that actively provides networking, educational, and social opportunities for over 10,000 women film, TV, and digital media makers in the San Francisco Bay Area.

MISSION

We empower, promote and celebrate women's creative work! Our mission is to provide critical support on creative works, WIFSFBA seeks to deliver useful solutions, build a strong community, and further the craft for women working at all levels in film, television, and digital media in the San Francisco Bay Area.

WHAT WE DO

We work with individual film, television, and media makers as well as local organizations and businesses to help women to connect, create, and be inspired. Through our network we host:

Diversity & Inclusion

Women in Film San Francisco Bay Area creates and fosters community by providing an intentionally welcoming and safe environment where all feel valued and cared for, and where all are given opportunity to form meaningful connections with one another. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion of all. We cherish the diversity of gender, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

Those in the LGBTQIAP+ community who identify as women, they/them and/or non-binary, in the San Francisco - Bay Area, are invited to support, join and create with Women In Film. For men, or those identifying as men, interested in supporting our organization, please contact us about our "Friends of Women In Film" membership.

Whether you are just launching your professional career or you are an established professional in the field, Women in Film San Francisco Bay Area (WIFSFBA) is an invaluable social and professional network.

We are also a chapter of Women In Film & Television, United States, (WIFTUS.org) which is a group of chapters across the United States that collaborate, raise awareness and support women in the industry across the nation.  

WOMEN IN FILM  - INTERNATIONAL

As a Chapter of Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI.org), our members are also connected to a global network comprised of some 37 Women in Film Chapters worldwide with over 10,000 members, dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women working in all areas of film, video, and other screen-based media.
